How to apply for Andhra Pradesh Nursing courses admission 2018
Eligible candidates can apply online through Director of Medical Education, A.P. Hyderabad official website i.e. http://dme.ap.nic.in in August 2018. Registration fee of Rs. 100/- can be paid through a Government challan crediting to the following Head of Account at any branch of State Bank of India at respective places.

Print the filled in application form and submit the same with necessary enclosures as per the details noted in the application form to the Superintendents of the Hospitals concerned on or before the last date specified. The filled in applications of Post Basic Diploma Courses admissions to be submitted in the respective Govt. General Hospital / DMHO Offices by hand.

Educational Qualifications for Post Basic Nursing course
Applicant must have passed 10+2 exam or any other equivalent examination from recognized board and obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council can apply for Post Basic Nursing course. However for male nurse should be trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of recognized discipline.
Educational Qualifications for GNM Course
Applicant must have passed 10+2 with minimum of 40% marks in aggregate and pass in English individually from any recognized board can apply for General Nursing and Midwifery Training Course. Candidates passed from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government can also apply for same. Applicant passed 10+2 with English in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council or in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/State/Center with minimum 40% of marks can also apply for same. Registered ANM with pass mark is also eligible to apply for General Nursing and Midwifery Training Course.
Age limit– The minimum age for admission will be 17 years (as on 31st of December of that year) and the upper age limit is 35 years. For ANM/ for LHV there is no age bar.
Andhra Pradesh Nursing courses admission 2018 selection process
Selections will be made purely on merit, on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the Candidates in the group subjects, excluding languages. 85% of seats in local area are reserved in favor of local and the remaining seats are un-reserved as per A.P. Educational Institutions. Out of the seats available for admission – 15% for SC, 6% for ST and 25% for BCs are reserved.
