The Buckeyes have about 3.2 percent of the class of 2021, according to a new report from the Ohio State Department of Education.
Ohio State, which is ranked No. 3 in the nation, has about 4.6 percent of its class of 2020 in the top 25% of its incoming class.
The department has made the announcement in a new “FIT” report, which has the data for 2021 available for all states.
Ohio’s overall FIT rate was 3.4 percent, and the state’s share was 4.4%.
This data only includes students who have been admitted to Ohio State since March.
Ohio was one of only two states not to make this data public, along with California.
Ohio State’s enrollment dropped from 4,927 in 2016 to 3,741 in 2021.
Ohio lost its first three football games of the season against Rutgers and Pittsburgh.
This year’s team was expected to compete for the Big Ten title, but that was not the case, as the Buckeyes lost to Michigan.
