The Bianconeri are on a five-match losing streak in Serie A and have lost seven of their last eight games.
They have scored just once in those five matches, a 1-0 defeat by Sampdoria on Monday, and they are now five points adrift of second-placed Juventus.
Coach Antonio Conte has admitted that his side were not good enough at times, and the team’s form in the last four games has been inconsistent.
Conte admitted that the team lacked quality in defence, and he is still searching for his best XI.
“We were very unlucky in the first half of the season,” Conte said, before adding that he had “no choice” but to change the team, but added that he would “never stop looking”.
Conte also revealed that his team had made changes to the starting line-up this time around, but the new changes are not as drastic as they were for the start of the campaign.
“I’m not going to tell you if I’m sorry for any changes,” he said.
“It’s all about making a decision and when it’s time, I’ll make the decision.”
