The college admission process has long been known as the most rigorous in the world, and yet it is one of the most expensive, with high fees and limited opportunities to apply.
Now a Stanford University professor says the admission requirements used to be the standard.
And while the number of applicants has plummeted over the past few decades, some of the requirements have not been changed.
