The Virginians who are applying for UC admissions can get a discount by paying their own way.
The first of two major announcements made by Virginia Tech on Thursday will be the opening of its admission portal.
That portal will be available through the university’s admissions website and will provide information about admission to colleges, universities and universities-sponsored events, including the university-sponsored “Diversity for All” program, a scholarship program for graduating seniors, and more.
Virginia Tech said it plans to open the portal on the day of the start of classes for the 2018-2019 academic year, with the goal of expanding the platform to include additional categories of admission.
It is also offering a discount for people who apply through the Virginians Application Center, which is an online portal that allows Virginians to submit their applications.
Virginia Tech said the company will also offer discounts for people applying through the Student Services website.
The website, which was announced on Wednesday, will have the option to create a password for the program, and it will also allow Virginians access to a dedicated enrollment portal for those with disabilities.
The Virginians are also planning to open a second admissions portal that will allow people to create their own university-supported events and other special offers.
