Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test 2017 eligibility criteria

Primary (For Teaching in Class I to V)– Candidates must have possess any of the following educational qualification to apply for Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test 2017.

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)/ 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)/ 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45 % marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulation 2002. OR 

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

Upper Primary (For Teaching in Class VI to VIII)

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)/ One year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Or Graduation with at least 45% marks and one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR

Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50 % marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)/B.A./B.Sc.Ed/B.A. Ed./ B.Sc.Ed./one year B.Ed. (Special Education).

How to apply for Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test 2017

Eligible candidates can apply online at http://cgvyapam.choice.gov.in/, after carefully selection of the options given a form will appear under it. Please fill all the details carefully. After filling all the details, click on CONTINUE TAB for Application Verification. To pay the examination fee please click on the PAY tab.

Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test 2017 examination fee as mentioned below can be paid online through two payment gateways (1) ICICI Bank (2) State Bank Of India. If you select State Bank of India then STATE BANK MOPS will open pay the fee via SBI net banking, any bank debit/credit card or to pay offline selects Other Payment Modes in S.B.I. Branch with given Bank challan similarly for ICICI Bank payment gateway.

• Rs. 350 for only one exam (Rs. 250 for OBC) (Rs. 200 for SC/ST candidates)
• Rs. 600 for both exams (Rs. 400 for OBC) (Rs. 300 for SC/ST candidates)

Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test 2017 exam pattern

There will be two papers of the Test. Candidates qualifying the first paper will be eligible for teaching in classes one to five. In the same way, candidates qualifying the second paper will be eligible to teach in classes 6 to 8th. Candidates who intend to be a teacher for both levels (class I to V and class VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers. Each paper will be of two and a half hour duration and a total of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from the following sections will be asked. All the questions will be asked in two languages (Hindi and English).

First Paper (For Classes I to V) Primary stage
1. Child Development and Pedagogy- 30 MCQs- 30 marks
2. Language -1 (Hindi)- 30 MCQs -30 marks
3. Language -2 (English) -30 MCQs -30 marks
4. Math- 30 MCQs -30 marks
5. Environmental Education- 30 MCQs -30 marks

Second Paper (For Classes VI to VIII) Upper Primary stage
1. Child Development and Pedagogy- 30 MCQs- 30 marks
2. Language -1 (Hindi)- 30 MCQs -30 marks
3. Language -2 (English) -30 MCQs -30 marks
4. Maths and Science (For all Maths and Science Teachers)- 60 MCQs -60 marks
5. Social Science teachers (For all Social Science Teachers)- 60 MCQs -60 marks
6. For Any other subject teachers- Either 4
