Cochin University of Science and Technology is going to conduct Common Admission Test 2019 for admission to professional and nonprofessional courses admission in affiliated colleges and institutions for academic session 2019-2020. How to apply for CUSAT CAT 2019
Eligible candidates can apply online and make the fee payment on or before the last dates prescribe only through the website www.cusat.ac.in. Choose the correct options out of the 3 options given in the login creation page.
To pay the CUSAT CAT 2019 prescribed application fee download and print the challan form of SBI or SBT from the home page of the candidate and present the same to any SBI branch or SBT branch (do not use SBI challan at SBT counter and vice-versa) and make the payment at the bank counter OR can be made either by using credit/debit card or through internet banking.
The applicants for seats reserved for International candidates/PIO/Children of Indian Gulf Workers are required to submit their application online through the web site www.cusat.nic.in and after successful submission of their application may forward an advance copy of the confirmation page along with demand Draft/Pay order/ any other instrument (which does not involve any collection charges on the part of the University) for US $100 in favour of Registrar, CUSAT, payable at Ernakulam. The same shall be forwarded by post to the Director, IRAA, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi – 682022, Kerala, India. In the case of foreign citizens the confirmation page along with copies of the required certificates shall be routed either through the Embassy of India in their respective country or through their respective Embassy in India.

• Application fee for General candidates – Rs.1000 (Rs. 500 for SC/ST candidates)

Candidates who wish to apply for Post-Doctoral, Ph D, MPhil, Diploma or Certificate programmes should submit the required application fee at the concerned Department in the form of Demand Draft from SBT or SBI drawn in favour of The Registrar, CUSAT and payable at Ernakulam. An additional fee of Rs. 10,000/- is payable by candidates opting Dubai as Test Centre

CUSAT CAT 2019 eligibility criteria
For B.Tech courses– Pass in the plus two examinations of the State of Kerala or any other examination accepted as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects securing a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together OR for some other BTech courses (Instrumentation Technology/ Naval Architecture & Shipbuilding) secured a minimum of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together with at least 55% in Mathematics separately. The minimum eligibility for SEBC (belonging to Kerala State) is 55% for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together with at least 50% for Mathematics.
For B.Tech lateral entry courses– The maximum age prescribed is 25 years as on 1st July of the current academic year. Admissions will be based on the rank in the admission test, conducted for the purpose. See notification of CAT 2019 for the test schedule. Admitted candidates will have to undergo remedial courses as decided by the University.
For M.Tech courses– B.Tech or equivalent degree from any recognized University or Institution and A valid GATE score is required.
For BBA, LLB (H) and B Com, LLB (H) course– Pass in plus two examinations with 60% marks in Science group or 55% marks in Commerce / Arts / Humanities and should not have completed 20 years of age as on 1st July of the year of admission; 22 years in the case of SC / ST and OBC candidates.
For 3 year LLB course– Bachelor’s Degree with 40% aggregate marks in any discipline of a University recognized by CUSAT (35% for SC/ST). Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination may also apply in anticipation of results. However, the mark lists obtained in the qualifying examination shall be produced at the time of admission. Those who fail to produce mark list shall not be considered for admission.
For LLM courses– Bachelor’s degree in Law, SC/ST candidates are eligible for concession admissible under the orders of the Government.
For MSc. courses– BSc. degree with respective discipline and subjects from recognized institutes and universities.
For Master of Arts (M A) in Hindi Language & Literature courses– B.A/B.Sc degree with Hindi as a subject of study with at least 45% marks in Hindi
Master of Arts (M A) in Applied Economics courses– Bachelor’s degree in Economics with 55% marks in part III (Economics & Subsidiaries) or 60% marks with B.Com, BBA, BBM with Economics as one of the subjects or B.Sc. Mathematics or Statistics with 65% marks. Pass for SC/ ST candidates.
For Master of Business Administration– Bachelor’s degree in any subject with 50% marks in aggregate. There will be no entrance test required only a valid Score in any of the management aptitude tests, MAT (conducted by AIMA) or C-MAT (conducted by AICTE ) or CAT (conducted by IIM) and Group Discussion and Interview conducted at the School of Management Studies.
For Master of Computer Applications (MCA) courses– Any Science graduate with Mathematics as one of the subjects or graduate in Electronics / Information Technology/Computer Science / Computer Applications/ Engineering/Technology with aggregate 55% marks in all subjects other than language and humanities and for seeking admission directly to the second year of MCA course must have a pass with not less than 55% marks in recognized regular Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications / Computer Science & Engineering of minimum three year duration.
For Master of Intellectual Property Rights– Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Economics, Political Science, History, Management and Science & Technology with 55% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or an examination of any other University accepted by the University as equivalent thereto and should have obtained rank in CAT conducted by the University. SC/ST candidates are eligible for concession admissible under the orders of the Government.
For 5 year integrated Master of Science in Photonics– Pass in Plus Two examination of the State of Kerala with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subject or any other examination accepted as equivalent thereto securing a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
For Master of Vocation (M.Voc) courses– Engineering Graduate with at least 60% marks MCA/MSc Computer Science/MBA degree or Candidate with at least 60% B.Voc degree in relevant disciplines shall be eligible for admission.
For Master of Philosophy (M Phil) courses– Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade shall be eligible for admission.
