FTII Joint Entrance Test 2018- FTII JET 2018 online registration

Film and Television Institute of India Pune is going to conduct an All India Level written examination popularly known as Joint Entrance Test 2018 (JET 2018), the scores are going to be used at the participating institutes only i.e., Film and Television Institute of India, Pune (FTII,) and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata (SRFTI). This year FTII will conduct JET 2018 on 18th February 2018, Sunday in two sessions across 26 centres in India. FTII JET 2018 is a prerequisite for admission to any of the following programmes offered by FTII and SRFTI. A candidate is allowed to apply for only one course in the Film Wing group and only one course from the TV wing group.

FTII Joint Entrance Test 2018 eligibility criteria

For Sound Recording & Sound Design– Candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Physics as a subject at senior secondary (10+2) level.

For Art Direction & Production Design– Candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in applied arts, architecture, painting, sculpture, interior design or related fields in fine arts or equivalent diploma from a recognized institute in any of the above.

For Courses under the TV Wing Group (except Sound Recording & Television Engineering and Sound for Electronic & Digital Media) – Candidate must have Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.

For Sound Recording & Television Engineering/ Sound for Electronic and Digital Media– Candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Physics as a subject at senior secondary (10+2) level.

Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree, and awaiting results, can also apply for FTII Joint Entrance Test 2018.

How to apply for FTII Joint Entrance Test 2018

Eligible candidates can apply online through website: https://applyadmission.net/JET2018 from 24 December 2017 to 25 January 2018. New Candidate can visit the website and click on Fresh Candidate to create Log In (New Log In) to register themselves. However registered candidates can login in their account by clicking on Complete Application Process (Log in to your account).

FTII JET 2018 registration fee of Rs.1250 for SC, ST and PwD category candidates and Rs. 4000 for all other categories can be paid through online modes of payment i.e. Debit Card/Credit Card only).

• FTII JET 2018 Registration Starts from- 24 December 2017, Sunday
• FTII JET 2018 Registration Ends on- 25 January 2018, Thursday
• FTII JET 2018 admit cards can be downloaded from website from- 8 February 2018, Thursday
• FTII JET 2018 exam date- 18 February 2018, Sunday

FTII Joint Entrance Test 2018 test pattern

JET 2018 is a written test of three hours duration consisting of objective type and subjective questions and will be conducted in 26 centres across India in two sessions (forenoon & afternoon). The test papers will carry maximum of 100 Marks, which will be divided into two sections of 50 Marks each.

Film Wing Courses exam pattern-

Section A- Total 50 marks
• General Awareness (National / International) – 15 Marks
• General Mental Ability (Mathematical / Abstract Reasoning) – 15 Marks
• Indian History, Culture, Art, Architecture, Music, Folk-art, Cinema, Television etc. – 20 Marks

Section B-
• Specific Area Aptitude Test (Descriptive) (Designed to test the ability and aptitude of a candidate in the specific field of cinematic expression. Total of eight questions will be given, candidate is required to attempt any five. Each question carries Ten Marks – 50 Marks

Television Wing Courses exam pattern-

Section A- Total 50 marks
• General Awareness (National / International) – 15 Marks
• General Mental Ability (Mathematical / Abstract Reasoning) – 15 Marks
• Indian and International Television, Mass Media, Indian History, Culture, Music, Folk-art etc. – 20 Marks

Section B-
