Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2018 starts from August

Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education is inviting online applications for Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2018 for appointment of TGT (Arts), TGT (NM), TGT (Medical), Shastri, Language Teacher, JBT, Punjabi and Urdu teaching categories. How to apply for Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2018

Candidates can apply online for HPTET 2018 through Board website www.hpbose.org click on Teacher Eligibility Test 2018 link and follow the instructions to fill the form. After Final Submission of the Online Application Form, take printout of Application Form,  affix passport size photograph same scanned and uploaded by the candidate in the application form, put his/her signature on the downloaded application form and send it to the S.O (Departmental Examination Branch), HP Board of School Education, Dharamshala (Kangra)-176213 by post or submit it directly at the counter of the Board office on or before 20 August, 2018 .

HPTET 2018 application fee of Rs.800/- (Rs.500/- for OBC/ST/SC/PH candidates) can be paid through online payment mode using Credit Card or Debit Card only.

Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2018 eligibility criteria

Minimum Qualifications for TGT (Arts) – Candidate must have passed B.A/B.Com along with One year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)/ Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.)(Special Education)OR passed Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/4 years B.A.Ed.

Minimum Qualifications for TGT (Non-medical) – Candidate must have passed B.Sc.(NM) along with one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)/ Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.)(Special Education)OR Passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/4 years B.Sc.(NM)Ed.

Minimum Qualifications for TGT (Medical) – Candidate must have passed B.Sc.(Medical) along with one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)/ Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.)(Special Education)OR Passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/4 years B.Sc.(Medical)Ed.

Minimum Qualifications for Shastri– Candidate must have Shastri degree with at least 50% marks from an institution/University recognized by H.P. Government.

Minimum Qualifications for Language Teacher – Candidate must have passed B.A with Hindi as an elective subject along with 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whichever name known)/ 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) / 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Special Education OR passed Prabhakar (Honours in Hindi) with 50% marks followed by B.A. Examination (English and one additional subject) with 50% marks from recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). Candidates passed M.A. (Hindi) with at least 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) can also apply for Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2018.

Minimum Qualifications for Junior Basic Training (JBT) – Candidate must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks from a recognized Board/University and should possess two years JBT certificate course from an institute duly recognized by the Central State Government OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)/Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002/4-years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/ 2-years Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education). Candidates passed Graduation with two years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) can also apply for HPTET 2018.

Minimum Qualifications for Punjabi Language Teacher– Candidate must have passed B.A. with Punjabi as elective subject and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)/1 year bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)/1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms & Procedure)/ 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) (Special Education) OR Giani with 50% marks followed by B.A. Examination (English & one additional subject) with 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR M.A.(Punjabi) with at least 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) AND Pass in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Punjabi language Teacher duly conducted by H.P. Board of School Education Dharmshala.

Minimum Qualifications for Urdu Language Teacher– Candidate must have passed B.A. with Urdu As elective subject and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)/1 year bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)/1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms & Procedure)/ 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) (Special Education) OR B.T. with 50% marks followed by B.A. Examination (English & one additional subject with 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)OR M.A.(Urdu) with at least 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) AND Pass in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Urdu language Teacher duly conducted by H.P. Board of School Education Dharamshala.

• Adeeb-e-Kamil from Jamia Urdu Aligarh will be considered as equivalent to B.A. with Urdu.
• Moallim-e-Urdu from Jamia Urdu Aligarh will be considered / equivalent to B.Ed. for teaching Urdu.

Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2018 exam pattern

There shall be one question paper in four different series having questions of multiple-choice/objective type, carrying 150 questions of one mark each to be attempted within 150 minutes. There shall be 60% minimum qualifying marks. There shall be no negative marking.

The question booklet will be set and supplied in bilingual i.e. both in English and Hindi. The question papers for Shastri will be partly in Sanskrit and partly in Hindi. The question papers preferably are bilingual (English & Punjabi). The question paper for Punjabi/Urdu language teacher will be in Punjabi/Urdu/English only
