Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test 2018- HPCET 2018

Himachal Pradesh Technical University is inviting online applications for Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test 2018 for B.Tech, B.Pharmacy, B.Pharmacy(Ayur.), M.Pharmacy, M.Tech., MCA and MBA courses admission for academic session 2018-2019. HPCET 2018 eligibility criteria

For B.Tech Engineering & Technology (Direct Entry)– Candidate must pass 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology subject securing atleast 45% marks (40% in case for candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

For B.Pharm (Direct Entry)– Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective State/Central Government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian University (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects individually. Student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.

For B.Pharm (Ayurveda) – Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

For M. Tech and MBA– Candidate must have recognized Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field obtaining at least 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category) at the qualifying Examination.

For M.Pharmacy– Candidate must have recognized Bachelor in Pharmacy or equivalent degree obtaining at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination.

For MCA– Candidate must have recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate level securing at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination from a recognized University.

How to apply for HPCET 2018

Eligible candidates can apply online and make the fee payment only through the website http://www.himtu.ac.in/ in March, 2018. HPCET 2018 Application Processing cum Test Fee of Rs. 1250/- (Rs. 1100 for SC/ST/BPL) can be paid online via Net banking /Credit card/Debit card or by e-Challan mode.

• Starting date for HPCET 2018 Online Registration Process – March 2018
• Last date for HPCET 2018 Online Registration Process- April, 2018
• HPCET 2018 entrance test date for MBA and MCA- May 2018
• HPCET 2018 entrance test date for M.Tech/Pharmacy/B.Tech/B.Pharm-  May 2018

HPCET 2018 admission process

• Admission to MBA courses will be made on the basis of the Merit Score of National Level Entrance Test i.e. CMAT, CAT, MAT-AIMA etc. or test conducted by HP Technical University
• Admission to MCA / B. Pharmacy/B. Pharmacy (Ayurveda) course will be made on the basis of the HPCET 2018 conducted by HP Technical University
• Admission to B. Tech (Direct Entry) courses will be made on the basis of the JEE (Main)-2018 conducted by CBSE or HPCET conducted by HP Technical University.
• Admission to M. Tech courses will be made on the basis of the GATE 2018 score or HPCET conducted by HP Technical University
• Admission to M. Pharmacy courses will be made on the basis of the GPAT 2018 score or HPCET conducted by HP Technical University
