IISC Bangalore PG courses admission 2018 starts from February 2018

The Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISC) is inviting online application for admission to  various Postgraduate course (Research Programme (PhD / MTech(Res)), Course Programme (ME / MTech / MDes), Course Programme (Master of Management),PhD(Integrated), External Registration Programme (PhD Only), Sponsored ME/ M Tech Programme) offered by institute for academic session 2018-2019. IISC Bangalore PG courses admission 2018 eligibility criteria

Candidates possessing a minimum of second class in the following degrees are to apply for PG courses offered by IISC, Banglore along with Valid GATE score (valid as on August 1, 2018) / NET JRF.

For Master of Technology (M Tech)- Candidates possessing a minimum of second class in a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of Engineering / Technology with a valid GATE score ; Master’s degree in Science, Physical
Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Geology, Instrumentation, Electronics or Master’s in Computer Application with a valid GATE score are eligible to apply.

For Master of Design (M Des)- Candidates possessing a minimum of second class in Bachelor’s degree in Engineering /Technology / Design / Architecture with valid GATE / CEED scores are eligible to apply.

For Master of Management (M Mgt)- Candidates possessing a minimum of first class in Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent degree with a valid GATE/CAT/GMAT scores are eligible to apply.

For Ph D (Integrated) programmes- Candidates possessing a minimum of first class in B.Sc or equivalent degree in Physical, Mathematical, Chemical, Biological Sciences with valid JAM Score are eligible to apply. Candidates who clear JEST 2018 are also eligible to apply for the Physical Sciences stream. BE / B Tech degree holders who qualify in Mathematics/Mathematical Statistics paper in JAM are eligible to apply to Mathematical Sciences discipline, and those who appear in Biotechnology paper in JAM to Biological Sciences discipline.

Candidates who are yet to complete their qualifying examinations, but expect to complete all the requirements for admission eligibility are also eligible to apply provided they can furnish the necessary certificates by October 31, 2018.

How to apply for IISC Bangalore PG courses admission 2018

Eligible candidates can apply online through www.iisc.ac.in on or before 24.03.2018. Application fee of Rs.v800 (Rs.400 for SC / ST / PWD) (Rs.2000 for ERP candidates) can be submitted online through net-banking, debit card, visa/master credit cardvon or before the last date specified.

IISC Bangalore PG admission 2018 selection process

Short-listing is based either on national entrance tests performance or on the academic performance in the qualifying degree examination as per the table above. The final selection is based on the performance at an interview.
