How to apply for Indian Statistical Institute Admission Test 2018

Candidates residing in India can apply only ON-LINE through the official website http://www.isical.ac.in/~admission/ form 07 February to 09 March 2018. Applicants from outside India are requested to contact the Dean’s office at the following e-mail address: dean@isical.ac.in with subject: Admission 2018-2019.

Application Fee of ₹ 1000.00 for all applicants in the unreserved (General) category, ₹ 500.00 for reserved (OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD) category candidates for all programmes can be submitted online on or before 11 March 2018.

Indian Statistical Institute Admission Test 2018 eligibility criteria

1. For 3 year Bachelor of Statistics/ Mathematics (H) – Candidate must have passed 10+2 years of Higher Secondary Education with Mathematics and English as subjects. Candidate will get Stipend ₹3000/- per month (Offered at Kolkata).
2. For 2 year Master of Statistics- Candidate must have Bachelor’s degree or a B.E./B.Tech. Degree with Statistics as a subject or B. Math Degree from Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), or PG Diploma in Statistical Methods and analytics from ISI. Candidate will get Stipend ₹5000/- per month (Offered at Delhi and Chennai).
3. For 2 year Master of Mathematics- Candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or B.Stat Degree from ISI or B.E./B.Tech. Degree with Mathematics as a subject. Candidate will get Stipend ₹5000/-per month (Offered at Kolkata).
4. For 2-year Master of Science in Quantitative Economics- Candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and have passed the 12 class exam with Mathematics as a subject. Candidate will get Stipend ₹5000/- per month (Offered at Kolkata and Delhi).
5. For 2-year Master of Science in Quality Management Science- Candidate must have Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics as a subject or B.E./B.Tech. Degree in any discipline. Candidate will get Stipend ₹5000/- per month (Offered at Bengaluru and Hyderabad).
6. For 2-year Master of Science in Library and Information Science- Candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Candidate will get Stipend ₹5000/- per month (Offered at Bengaluru).
7. For 2-year Master of Technology in Computer Science- Candidate must have Master’s degree in Mathematics/Statistics/ Physics/ Electronic Science/ Computer Science/Computer Applications/Information Technology or B.E./B.Tech. Degree or any other qualification considered equivalent (such as AMIE or, DOEACC ‘B’ Level). Candidate will get Stipend ₹8000/- per month (Offered at Kolkata).
8. For 2-year Master of Technology in Cryptology and Security- Candidate must have Master’s degree in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Physics/ Electronic Science/ Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology or, (ii) B.E./B.Tech. Degree or any other qualification considered equivalent (such as AMIE or, DOEACC ‘B’ Level). Candidate will get Stipend ₹8000/- per month (Offered at Kolkata).
9. For 2-year Master of Technology in Quality, Reliability & Operations Research- Candidate must have Master’s degree in Statistics with Physics and Chemistry at (10+2) level or Master’s degree in Mathematics with Statistics as subjects in the undergraduate or post-graduate level and Physics and Chemistry at (10+2) level or B.E./B.Tech. Degree or any other qualification considered (such as AMIE). Candidate will get Stipend ₹8000/- per month (Offered at Kolkata).
10. For 1-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Statistical Methods and Analytics- Candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Mathematics as a subject or, B.E. /B. Tech. degree or any other qualification considered equivalent (such as AMIE). Candidate will get Stipend ₹2000/- per month for domiciled students of the North East States of India.
11. For 1-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications- Candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Mathematics as a subject (Offered at Giridih).
12. For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)-
• Statistics: M.Stat. Degree from ISI or M.A./M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Statistics (Offered at Kolkata, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Tezpur).
• Mathematics: (i) M.Stat./M.Math. Degree from ISI or M.A./M. Sc. or equivalent degree in Mathematics or M.E./M.Tech. Degree or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject (Offered at Kolkata, Delhi, Bengaluru and Chennai).
• Quantitative Economics: Master’s degree in any discipline with Economics/Mathematics/ Statistics as a subject at the undergraduate or postgraduate level (Offered at Kolkata and Delhi).
• Computer Science: M.E/M.Tech or equivalent degree in Electronics/ Telecommunication /Radio Physics/ Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering/Microwave Communications/ Information Technology/ Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology with Mathematics as a subject at the undergraduate or postgraduate level or (M.Stat/M.Sc./MCA/MA or equivalent degree in Physics/Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/ Statistics/Electronic Sciences/Computer Science/Atmospheric Science/Information Technology/Bioinformatics/Biotechnology with Mathematics as a subject at the undergraduate or postgraduate level (Offered at Kolkata, Bengaluru and Chennai).
• Quality, Reliability & Operations Research: M.Tech/M.E./M.S./M. Phil. or equivalent degree in Quality/Reliability/Operations Research or M.Stat./M.Sc./M.A. or equivalent degree in Mathematics/ Statistics/Physics with Mathematics as a subject at the undergraduate or postgraduate level (Offered at Kolkata, Delhi and Chennai).
• Physics: M.Sc. in Physics (Offered at Kolkata).
• Geology: M.Sc. in Geology or equivalent (Offered at Kolkata).
• Biological Science: M.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Biophysics/ Molecular Biology/ Genetics/ Zoology/ Neurosciences/ Biotechnology (Offered at Kolkata).
• Library and Information Science: MS (LIS) awarded by ISI or Associate ship in Documentation and Information Science (awarded by ISI or NISCAIR/INSDOC) or its equivalent degree (such as Master’s degree in LIS from any Indian/Foreign University). (Offered at Bengaluru).
