University of Kashmir, Srinagar is inviting online applications for Jammu Kashmir State Eligibility Test 2017 in March 2018 for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor in colleges and universities of Jammu Kashmir. Age limit– There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.

Educational qualification– Candidates Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Sciences, Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science with at least 55% marks (50% Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Persons with disability (PWD) category and Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates). Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for JKSET 2017.

The candidates who have passed the UGC/CSIR JRF examination prior to 1989 are also exempted from appearing in SET.

How to apply for Jammu Kashmir State Eligibility Test 2017

Elegible candidates can visit Kashmir University Website www.kashmiruniversity.net  or www.uok.edu.in and click on Link JKSET or candidates can directly visit set.uok.edu.in to apply for JKSET 2017. Preview the Form displayed on the screen. If details are correct, click on Submit.

Candidates can pay their fee Rs. 800 for General category, Rs. 500 for OBC candidates, Rs. 400 for SC/ST/PWD candidates through the Online mode or deposit the requisite fee (plus Rs. 10/- Bank charges) in the JKSET Collection Account against the Bank Pay-in-Slip generated with the Application Form, in any of the branches of the J&K Bank Ltd. across the Country.

General category candidates need not submit Hard Copy of their downloaded Application Form. Candidates applying under any Reserved Category shall submit the hard copy of Application Form alongwith self attested photocopy of reserved category certificate at the SET office, University of Kashmir/ the Jammu Centre coordinators office at University of Jammu. Candidates from far flung areas may send their documents by speed post to Coordinator JKSET, University of Kashmir, Hazratbal, Srinagar-190006.

Jammu Kashmir State Eligibility Test 2017 scheme and schedule

The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held on 22st May, 2017 in two separate sessions as mentioned below.

Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will consist of Sixty (60) multiple choice questions of two marks each will be given, out of which the candidate would be required to answer any fifty (50). Total duration of the exam will be 1¼ Hours (09.30 A.M. to 10.45 A.M.)

Paper-II shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions of 100 marks based on the subject selected by the candidate. Total duration of the exam will be 1¼ Hours (10.45 A.M. to 12.00 NOON)

Paper-III will consist of 75 objective type compulsory questions of 150 marks based from the subject selected by the candidate. Total duration of the exam will be 2 ½ Hours (01.30 P.M. to 4.00 P.M.)
