Karnataka Examinations Authority is inviting online applications for Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test 2018 for admission to 1st year / 1st semester full time / part time MBA / MCA / M.E. / M. Tech. / M. Arch courses and Admission to 2nd year lateral entry to MCA Course for Karnataka and non-Karnataka candidates for academic session 2018-2019. How to apply for Karnataka PGCET 2018

Eligible candidates can apply online through Karnataka Examinations Authority website http://www.kea.kar.nic.in/ in May, 2018. Application fee of Rs. 650 for general candidates (Rs. 500 for SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates) can be paid online in the specified Bank.

• Last Date for Karnataka PGCET 2018 Online registration- June, 2018
• Last date to submit the Karnataka PGCET 2018 application fee in the specified Bank- June, 2018
• Karnataka PGCET 2018 entrance test date- July, 2018

 

Karnataka PGCET 2018 eligibility criteria for 2 year admission

For Full Time MBA courses– Candidate passed Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum of 3 years duration examination or equivalent examination with minimum of 50% marks (45% of marks for SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates).

For Part Time MBA courses– Candidate passed recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum of 3 years duration examination or equivalent examination with minimum of 50% marks (45% of marks for SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates) taken together in all the subjects including languages in all the years of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to part time MBA courses and must have worked for minimum three years in an organization situated within a radial distance of 40 km from the institution in which the candidate seeks admission.

For MCA courses– Candidate who has passed any recognized under graduate examination or equivalent examination with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or Computer Applications or Computer Programming or Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates) are eligible for admission to MCA courses.

Lateral Entry to 2nd year MCA – Candidate who has passed recognised Bachelor’s Degree in BCA, B.Sc. (I.T. / Computer Science) with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level or at Graduate Level and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates) taken together in all the subjects are eligible for admission to MCA courses.

For Full Time M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch Course– Candidate who has passed qualifying examination or equivalent examination as prescribed by the Competent Authority with minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects are eligible for admission to M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses. Candidate must have valid GATE score to apply.

For Part Time M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses– Candidate who has passed qualifying examination or equivalent examination as prescribed by the Competent Authority with minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects are eligible for admission to M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses and must have worked for not less than three years in an establishment in an organization situated within a radial distance of 40 km from the institution in which the candidate seeks admission.
