How to apply for SKUAST Jammu CET 2018
Eligible Candidates apply online through university website i.e. www.skuast.org and click the link Common Entrance Test-2018 from 12 May to 10 June, 2018 without late fee. Take a print out of the application form for your record after Online Payment of Fee.
Application fee of Rs. 1800 can be submitted through any Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking on or before 10 June, 2018. However, duly filled application forms along with late fee of Rs. 1000/ can be submitted also on or before the last date specified.
SKUAST Jammu CET 2018 important dates

SKUAST Jammu CET 2018 eligibility criteria
Only permanent residents of the Jammu and Kashmir State are eligible for seeking admission to all the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. For admission in B.Sc. (H) Biotechnology, candidates from outside states can also apply. Non-Resident Indian (NRI) can also apply for B.V.Sc & AH and B.Sc (H) Agriculture, and under Self Financing Category for SKUAST Jammu CET 2018.
Eligibility criteria for SKUAST Jammu CET 2018 Undergraduate courses
Age limit– Candidates must be 17 years old on or before 31.12.2018.
Educational qualification– Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (12th or 10+2) or an equivalent examination with PCB/PCM/PCBM/Agriculture (with Science subjects) having 50% marks in aggregate for open/NRI/NRI-sponsored category, and 40% for reserved categories for admission to B.Sc. (H) Agriculture. For admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. courses student must have PCB/PCBM subjects. Candidates passed Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) subjects with 50% marks in aggregate can apply for admission to B.Sc. (H) Biotechnology against Self-Financing Seats.
Eligibility criteria for SKUAST Jammu CET 2018 Postgraduate courses
Age limit– Candidates must be 19 years old on or before 31.12.2018.
Educational qualification- Candidates must have passed Bachelor degree examination in respective discipline securing Grade point average (OGPA) at least 6.00/10.00 in ten point scales, 3.00/4.00 in four point scales for general category (5.50/10.00 in ten point scale for reserved category) or at least 60% marks (55% marks for reserved category).
SKUAST Jammu CET 2018 selection process
Candidates who successfully qualify in Common Entrance Test, as per merit, shall be called for counseling on a specified date and time as mentioned below for consideration of admission to various Undergraduate and Master’s programme. Candidates are advised to see regularly the website of the university for counseling dates.
• Undergraduate courses counselling starts from- 9 July 2018
• Postgraduate courses counselling starts from – 23 July 2018
The candidates who are called for counseling must pay online counseling fee of Rs 1000/- before appearing on the scheduled date of counseling at university website www.skuast.org.
SKUAST Jammu CET 2018 exam pattern
For Undergraduate courses– The test shall comprise of one paper of three hours duration consisting of 180 multiple choice objective type questions. Each question will carry one mark. For correct one answer 1 mark will be given and for incorrect answer ¼ marks will be deducted. The subjects for the SKUAST-J Common Entrance Test 2018 are as follows-
• Physics- 60 questions (compulsory for all courses)
• Chemistry- 60 questions (compulsory for all courses)
• Biology/or Mathematics/or Agriculture -60 question (students have to appear in any of the three subjects as the case may be)
Mathematics/Agriculture can only be taken by the candidates appearing for admission to B.Sc. (H) Agriculture.
For Postgraduate courses– The test shall comprise of one paper of 2 hours 30 minutes duration consisting of 150 multiple choice objective type questions. Each question will carry one mark. For correct one answer 1 mark will be given and for incorrect answer ¼ marks will be deducted. There will be six major subject groups as given in the table below. Candidate shall have to appear in one major subject group.
