How to apply for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission 2017
Eligible candidates can apply online at https://tnea.ac.in/ or visit Anna University Website (http://www.annauniv.edu/) and click TNEA-2017 to apply on or before 03 June 2017. Send the filled-in Online Application along with enclosures in person or by post to The Secretary Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Anna University Chennai– 600 025 on or before the last date specified.
TNEA 2017 Application fee of Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC/ST/SCA categories of Tamil Nadu) can be submitted through online payment mode (Credit card/Debit card/Internet Banking). Candidates have to pay applicable bank charges in addition to application fee.
Candidates allotted during counselling will be given the provisional allotment order and a receipt for Rs. 5,000/- (or Rs. 1,000/- in the case of SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu). The remaining tuition fee has to be paid in the colleges before the dates specified in the provisional allotment order.

TNEA 2017 eligibility criteria
Candidate must have passed HSC (10+2)/ HSC (Vocational subjects) or any other equivalent exam with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for Backward class) (40% for MBC & DNC/SC/SCA/ST candidates) in Physics, Chemistry and Maths are eligible to apply for TNEA 2017.
For Marine Engineering Degree Programme- Candidate should pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics (P), Chemistry (C), Mathematics (M) and English as separate subject with minimum 60 % in PCM and minimum of 50 % in English either at 10th or 12th standard is required for all the candidates.
Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission 2017 selection process
The selection of candidates will be based on the marks obtained in the prescribed subjects reduced to 200 (Mathematics – 100, Physics + Chemistry – 100) in the qualifying examination. Candidates will be called for counselling in the order of their merit.
Based on the merit and communal reservation, allotment of the branch/college chosen by the candidate will be made. Candidates have to opt for colleges and branches that are available at the time of counselling.
