  • Junior Hydrogeologists (Scientist B), Group A- 05 post

UPSC Combined Geo Scientist and Geologists Examination 2018 eligibility criteria

Age limit– Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 1 January 2017 for Category-I and  maximum of 35 years as on 1 January 2017 or Category-II.

UPSC Combined Geo Scientist and Geologists Examination 2018 Educational qualification

For Geologists Gr ‘A’ in Geological Survey of India– Candidate must have Master’s degree in Geological Science or Geology or Applied Geology or Geo-Exploration or Mineral Exploration or Engineering Geology or Marine Geology or Earth Science and Resource Management or Oceanography and Coastal Areas studies or Petroleum Geo science or Petroleum Exploration or Geochemistry or Geological Technology or Geophysical Technology from an UGC recognized university.

For Geophysicists Gr ‘A ‘ i n Geological Survey of India– Candidate must have M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics or M.Sc. (Geophysics) or Integrated M.Sc. (Exploration Geophysics) or M.Sc (Applied Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Marine Geophysics) Or M.Sc. (Tech.) (Applied Geophysics) from a UGC recognized University.

For Chemists Gr ‘A ‘ in Geological Survey of India– Candidate must have M. Sc. in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry from a University incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature or other recognized educational Institutes.

For Junior Hydrgeologists (Scientist B), Group ‘A’ in Central Ground Water Board– Candidate must have Master’s degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognized University or other educational Institutes established OR have Master’s degree in Hydrogeology from a recognized University.

How to apply for UPSC Combined Geo Scientist and Geologists Examination 2018

Candidates are required to apply online only by using UPSC online portal website www.upsconline.nic.in. The Online Applications can be filled from 21.03.2018 to 16.04.2018 after which the link will be disabled.

Candidates have to pay a Fee of Rs. 200/- (Female / SC/ST / PH Candidates are exempted from payment of the Fee) either in cash at any Branch of the State Bank of India by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India / State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur / State Bank of Hyderabad / State Bank of Mysore / State Bank of Patiala / State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa / Master Credit / Debit Card.
