Uttarakhand State Eligibility Test 2018 eligibility criteria
Age limit- There is no upper age limit to apply for Uttarakhand SET 2018 examination.
Educational qualification- The candidates must have Master’s Degree recognized by U.G.C. Candidates having Post Graduate diploma/certificate awarded by Indian University/Institute or Foreign degree/diploma/certificate awarded by any Foreign University/Institute with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for reserved categories) are eligible to apply for Uttarakhand SET October 2018. The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in USET 2018.
Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s Degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also appear for this Test.
How to apply for Uttarakhand State Eligibility Test 2018
The application fee of Rs. 1000 (excluding Bank Charges, if any) for General candidates and Rs. 600 (excluding Bank Charges, if any) for OBC(Non- creamy layer) /SC /ST /PWD (persons with disability) candidates can be submitted before applying online for USET the candidate must deposit the required fee through links available under ‘PAY FEE’ button of the website. The fee can be deposited online or by cash at any branch of State bank of India through Challan. The candidate must keep the print out of the application form and candidate’s copy of Challan/ fee receipt with them.

Uttarakhand State Eligibility Test 2018 test pattern and syllabus
The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held in October 2018 in two separate sessions as mentioned below. Candidates should occupy their seats in the examination hall 20 minutes before commencement of the examination. No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall/room before 11.30 a.m. in the 1st session and 3.30 p.m. in the second session.
Paper-I – 60 multiple choice questions of two marks each out of which 50 questions are to be attempted shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. Duration of the exam will be 1¼ Hours (09.30 A.M. to 10.45 A.M.) IST.
Paper-II– 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks. Duration of the exam will be 1¼ Hours (10.45 A.M. to 12.00 NOON) IST.
Paper-III– 75 objective type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks. Duration of the exam will be 2½ Hours (01.30 P.M. to 4.00 P.M.) IST.
